I currently lead course development and online program strategy as part of the state's Transfer Virginia initiative. I make sure that potential students can access the courses and programs they need through scaling digital solutions and prioritizing the user journey.
I previously led the Online Virginia Network as a program coordinator with the Virginia Community College System. My other roles include spearheading the Research and Impact Group for CCOER, chairing my local library board, serving as a peer reviewer for the AERA and the Journal of Instructional Research, and mentoring future educators as they complete field work and coursework in the areas of English and Education.
In previous roles, I worked in public schools as a special educator and English/Science instructor, managed dual enrollment programming, provided accessibility services for community college students, and developed lessons and curriculum for edtech companies. My inspirations for writing and research are mentoring, technology, and rural communities. I still enjoy connecting with writers and education enthusiasts - but can also be found at my local soccer field, coffee shop, or hiking trail.
